This complete canoe outfit is based on the 16ft Easy Rider TSL-1 multi-purpose, decked touring and whitewater canoe. It is very stable for beginners and touring, very agile in whitewater and will not ship water when the hatches are covered. This great canoe was the first boat type produced by Easy Rider and was in continuous production from 1970 until the company closed in 2018. It last listed for $3900 new.
This canoe is complete with:
Fore and aft inflatable flotation bladders.
Covers for all three hatches.
Eskimo skirts for the forward and aft hatches.
Adjustable seats for paddling seated or kneeling.
Built in knee pads for kneeling.
A custom fitted cradle that may be adapted to various vehicle carrying systems.
This canoe is in very good shape. The gel coat has some superficial scrapes and scratches but all fiberglass is solid with no holes, cracks, leaks or patches. It has always been stored indoors.
This outfit also includes:
Two large, very strong, aluminum handle paddles with wide ABS plastic blades.
Two whitewater life preservers suitable for heavy water that will keep the wearer’s face out of water even if unconscious.
A small floating, water tight valuables bag.
A 50’ rescue throwing line.
A large zippered canvas bag for carrying everything except the paddles.
An addition traditional canvas duffle bag for carrying other outing and camping gear.
A copy of “Basic Canoeing, Small Craft Safety” by the American Red Cross.
A copy of “Basic River Canoeing” by Robert E. McNair.
A copy of “A White Water Handbook for Canoe and Kayak” by John T. Urban.
