New heirloom quality wood kayak. Never been in the water. 12ft Wood Duck from Chesapeake Light Craft. Cedar strip deck over marine Okoume plywood hull. Hand built with two layers of fiberglass cloth and epoxy on the whole boat and a third layer around the cockpit areas. Each cedar strip was hand fit in a herringbone pattern. Woodstrip "pin stripes" are hand fit into the deck design. Hull is built using a "stitch and glue" method with epoxy wood paste joining all parts resulting in an exceptionally strong structure. Finish is five coats of Marine oil based varnish on the outside and white marine paint inside giving a high end gloss finish. A brand new Wood / Carbon Fiber Shaft paddle is included. New seat, spray skirt and foot braces are also included.
